Gallagher Broker Tim DePriest Recognized as a 2020 Nonprofit Power Broker
Tim DePriest, Managing Director, Gallagher
When Chapman merged with Gallagher, Karen Mayo, vice president, risk management & procurement, The Lundquist Institute, was a little unsettled. “I was concerned that the relationship with our brokers would not be as thorough, but it’s only gotten better,” she said.
That was because she had Tim DePriest in her corner.
During an unprecedented year for The Lundquist Institute that included the completion of an 80,000-square-foot building, not only was DePriest there every step of the way, but he also managed to increase their coverage while keeping premiums the same.
“In my 25 years of experience, I’ve never worked with anyone who is half as skilled,” said Mayo. “He brings information to the table solely because of his knowledge of the industry.”
When Special Service for Groups, a nonprofit organization that addresses the needs of and builds programs for vulnerable communities, experienced exponential and unexpected growth, director of risk management Naomi Kageyama had her doubts. However, those doubts were soon eradicated, thanks to DePriest.
“Tim was instrumental in transforming our medical side,” said Kageyama. “He takes the time to understand us as clients. It’s nice to work with someone you trust.”
By being candid yet meaningful and truly understanding of the needs of an organization and who they serve, DePriest delivered exceptional results and fostered lasting relationships with his clients.
