Aon Broker Jean McDermott-Lucey Recognized as a 2022 Manufacturing Power Broker
Jean McDermott-Lucey, Managing Director, National Practice Leader, Aon
During her career of more than 35 years, Jean McDermott-Lucey has focused on specialty lines including product recall, malicious temper, kidnap and ransom, and terrorism.
As a specialty line broker, McDermott-Lucey believes the first step in working with a client is to fully understand their business, working closely with both large and small companies to advise on both preventive and risk transfer solutions.
One such company is a custom manufacturer of active pharmaceutical ingredients, including an experimental cancer drug pending FDA approval.
During the brokering effort, McDermott-Lucey worked to build market confidence in the insured’s operations and products. She was also able to build support in both the London and Bermuda markets, working through several challenging issues.
Ultimately McDermott-Lucey’s efforts resulted in a competitively priced, shared and layered program, which enabled the client to fulfill their contractual obligations to their customer.
“Jean is a top-notch broker and strategic thinker,” said Benji Dyches, director of risk and insurance, Jabil Circuit. “She has been instrumental in helping us build a recall and warranty program in our captive to support our growing automotive business.”
