Marsh Broker Florence Levy Recognized as a 2020 Cyber Power Broker
Florence Levy, Managing Director, West Zone Leader, Cyber Center of Excellence, Marsh
It takes a special level of expertise to design unique policy language that both the client and underwriters can agree on, all in the service of the often-confusing world of cyber insurance.
Florence Levy, part of Marsh’s Cyber Center of Excellence, is one of those experts, spanning a 19-year career in cyber.
Levy’s experiences cover everything from helping a client get set up with their first cyber policy to helping large tech companies secure the cyber and technology E&O policies they need.
Julie Young, Director of Risk Management with Dell Technologies, noted that Levy “is technically very experienced in the E&O world and clearly knows the market extremely well.”
Further, Young praised Levy’s talent as an effective consultant, saying that “she is good at more than placing insurance and keeps me advised of things going on in the market.”
For Ruston Bown, Levy was able to take it a step further, helping him understand the importance of building a cyber tower for the first time. Bown said that Levy was “amazingly patient” and had a “perfect balance of follow-up” during the process.
Indeed, Levy herself explained her client philosophy primarily as a communication game, saying that “people operate and learn differently, and I have discovered that if I can build trust with my clients in understanding how they want to interact … then we set each other up for mutual success.”
