Marsh Broker Fares Ounaies Recognized as a 2022 International Power Broker
Fares Ounaies, International Advisor, Marsh
Thorough, precise, reliable and deeply knowledgeable of broad and complex international exposures is how clients describe Fares Ounaies.
One of his clients a large privately-owned fragrance and taste companies, need help with an M&A project. While working on the project, Ounaies analyzed its risk exposure in various sites and locations across the globe. As a result, he highlighted a gap in coverage and recommended a standalone transaction pollution legal liability policy.
The recommendation led the company to implement two global pollution programs covering the U.S., France, China and India, which generated over $1 million in premium for a risk transfer program with an exposure of $28 million in limit per incident for 10 years of coverage, should a loss have occurred.
Using what he learned from this experience, Ounaies published an internal white paper highlighting the need for this type of coverage for all of Marsh’s international clients. He also led an hour-long internal briefing and training exercise, providing this expertise to more than 100 additional Marsh advisors.
His work is appreciated by all his clients. “He supported us in effectively performing a thorough risk assessment in order to cover legacy risks,” one client said. “Such risk assessment led us to purchase a niche insurance policy, maximizing risk transfer potential.”
