Lockton Broker Taylor Bennett Recognized as a 2023 Cyber Power Broker
Taylor Bennett, VP, Team Lead, Cyber Technology Practice, Lockton
Personalized video-sharing startup Cameo came to Taylor Bennett with a set of unique cyber exposures.
Cameo’s online service allows people to purchase personalized messages from celebrities — a video from Chuck Norris wishing you luck in a job interview, say — and gift them to friends and family. Businesses may also choose to purchase “Cameos” as part of their advertising or B2B marketing campaigns.
Because its operation houses sensitive data, Cameo is concerned about the growing number of cyberattacks it sees in the news. “Cyberattacks are occurring with greater frequency,” said Amy Singh, general counsel for Cameo. “Taylor is a key element of our defense.”
Singh praised Bennett’s ability to keep up with the fast-paced needs of a young technology enterprise. “We’re a global startup,” she explained. “Taylor’s always responsive. He’s at the ready for us all the time.”
“It’s never taken him longer than a day to get back to me,” another of Bennett’s clients added, echoing Singh’s accolades. “And he shares with me any of the latest market trends.”
In the face of ever-evolving cyber risks, clients can rest assured that Bennett remains abreast of the latest exposures. “I consider myself a ‘student of the game,’ ” he wrote in his Power Broker application, and he regularly attends cyber conferences and works with other brokers in his firm to keep his skills — and client companies’ defenses — sharp.
