F&G Announces New Co-Chief Investment Officers

F&G recently announced the appointments of David Martin and Leena Punjabi as the company’s co-chief investment officers.

In their roles, Martin and Punjabi will manage oversight of F&G’s investment portfolios while working in partnership with Blackstone Insurance Solutions.

Additionally, both will “lead long-term investment strategy and work with The Blackstone Group’s asset management team.”

F&G and Blackstone continually work together in the sourcing and underwriting of assets.

Martin and Punjabi bring a combined 40 years of experience to their new roles with F&G.

Martin first joined F&G in 2011 and has had several senior executive positions within the company.

Punjabi joined F&G in 2019 and served as vice president of asset management.

“With their highly collaborative styles and complementary skills and expertise, Dave and Leena are an ideal pair to lead our investment function,” said Chris Blunt, CEO of F&G.

“Their experience, background and demonstrated success of overseeing our portfolio will contribute to F&G’s continued growth and ensure our ability to generate value for our customers, distribution partners and shareholders.”

Ryan Specialty Group Hires Anthony Hanes in Executive Position

Ryan Specialty Group, LLC (RSG) named Anthony Hanes as president of Stetson Insurance Funding, LLC.

Stetson is a company within RSG that “specializes in financing commercial and personal lines insurance premiums for the excess and surplus insurance lines industry.”

In his role, Hanes will be oversee the development of RSG’s premium financing offerings with the goal of enhancing the organization’s capabilities “for the benefit of brokerage client base and their insureds.”

Hanes brings 30 years of finance industry experience to his new role with Stetson.

Prior to his appointment, he served as managing director, sales and marketing for National Partners PFco.

Hudson Structured Capital Management Adds Adrian Jones to Expand Insurtech Group

Hudson Structured Capital Management, Ltd. (HSCM) recently announced the hiring of Adrian Jones to “expand the firm’s Insurtech and global insurance groups.” Jones is appointed as managing director of HSCM as well as a partner in HSCM’s Insurtech group.

Jones brings nearly 20 years of industry experience to his new role with HSCM. Prior to his appointment, he worked with SCOR Global P&C as deputy CEO of P&C partner and leader of the P&C ventures unit.

Michael Millette, managing partner of HSCM, commented, “Insurance is undergoing a generational change that presents great opportunities for investors and entrepreneurs who can apply technology to transform customer experience, risk analysis and expense management.”

Anderson Kill Announces Promotion of Three Recovery Attorneys

Anderson Kill announced the promotion of three attorneys in the firm’s insurance recovery group, Diana Shafter Gliedman, Marshall Gilinsky and Robert D. Chesler, to equity shareholders.

The three bring a combined six decades of experience to their newly promoted roles.

Shafter Gliedman works in representing industry leaders and global companies, including those in the retail and hospitality industries.

Additionally, she is the co-chair of Anderson Kill’s hospitality industry practice group, which enables hospitality entities to pursue a wide range of insurance coverage.

Gilinsky currently represents companies with property portfolios across the hospitality, entertainment and gaming industries in business interruption claims due to COVID-19.

Chesler represents policyholders “in a broad variety of coverage claims against their insurance companies” as well as providing advisement to his clients. He is described as a leader when it comes to cyber, D&O, IP and privacy insurance.

Like Gilinsky, Chesler has also worked in representing properties with income loss affected by the pandemic.

Robert M.
