Marsh Broker Andrew Abolt Recognized as a 2021 Cyber Power Broker
Andrew Abolt, Senior Vice President, Marsh
As a former underwriter, Andrew Abolt is well positioned to help his clients manage risk and get the coverage they need.
In 2020, new client Papa John’s International, Inc. underwent a renewal process just as Marsh and Abolt’s team were engaged.
“Andrew and the Marsh team hit the ground running, with Andrew giving us an aggressive target in spite of the hard market,” said J.J. Fuqua, director of global risk management.
“When the dust settled after a wide marketing effort, Andrew successfully developed a new insurer partnership for us that enabled us to blend some of our previous standalone programs in order to better leverage our premium spend. Andrew and Marsh’s team actually exceeded our lofty expectations.”
Abolt deftly balances the concerns of underwriters while representing clients’ best interests. That might include anything from staying on top of regulatory changes that affect his clients or helping clients run a ransomware tabletop exercise.
“He really took the time to get to know us and our risk management philosophy — we’re very hands-on and involved in our relationships with carriers,” said Debby Baldwin, associate manager, treasury of Yum! Brands.
“Andrew’s also been great at articulating a particular situation to multiple involved in any strategy decision and making sure everyone’s aligned. He’s really very good at what he does.”
