Europ Assistance Group Announces Several New Hires

Travel insurer Europ Assistance Group appointed two new hires in Domenica Lista and Phillipe Gervais. Lista is hired as the insurer’s general counsel and Gervais is appointed as group chief financial officer.

Lista joins Europ Assistance after previously serving general counsel and corporate secretary for Banca Generali. Gervais recently held the title of president of the travel insurance business and general manager of Europ Assistance’s US companies, Generali Global Assistance.

On the hiring of both Lista and Gervais, Antoine Parisi, CEO of Europ Assistance said, “Domenica’s experience and her extensive legal background make her a valuable addition to our team. We are also excited to welcome Philippe back to the Europ Assistance team as our CFO after his tenure with our team in the US.”

Aspen Hires Tony Rai As Head of Claims

Aspen Insurance Holdings Limited (Aspen) announced the hiring of Tony Rai as its head of claims for both Aspen Insurance UK and Aspen Managing Agency Limited. In this role, Rai will be responsible for the managing and delivery of Aspen’s international claims.

Prior to joining Aspen, Rai worked at Hiscox where he was the head of London market claims since 2009. In his role with Hiscox, Rai worked in leading and managing claims for three business units within the company.

John Baxter, vice president, employee benefits, Graham Company

Graham Company Announces New Division Leader

Graham Company hired John Baxter as senior vice president of employee benefits. Baxter will be responsible for the operations management for the employee benefits division.

Baxter brings years of industry knowledge and experience to Graham Company. Having previously served in various CFO positions, his most recent job was serving as the CFO of Graham Company.

“I’m incredibly excited to lead our Employee Benefits Division, helping to build on the strong momentum the team has already established,”  Baxter said.

“With a foundation as one of the leading employee benefits consultants in the country, my goal is to expand our platform by embracing innovation to better serve our clients and provide solutions to help employees lead healthier lives.”

PointeNorth Insurance Launches New Practice

PointeNorth Insurance Group recently launched a Management & Executive Liability Practice “to prepare businesses to proactively manage executive liability exposures.”

PointeNorth plans to have the practice contain product offerings such as employment practices liability, crime fidelity coverage, and cyber security insurance, to name a few. The practice is managed by Paul J. Halloran, vice president and property & casualty risk advisor.

“Executive liability exposures are complex. No two businesses are the same, which means each business must take into consideration its specific risks,” Halloran said.

“Our Management & Executive Liability Practice team provides a consultative approach that helps business leaders assess the exposures of their organization and provides customized insurance and risk management solutions to protect the business and executive leadership.”

Karin Golde, vice president, data science, CLARA

CLARA Analytics Brings On Karin Golde as Vice President of Data Science

CLARA Analytics, an artificial intelligence provider for commercial insurance, hired Karin Golde as vice president of data science. In this role, Golde will be responsible for overseeing the development of AI portfolio and initiatives that will enable CLARA’s growth.

Golde brings 20 years of experience to her new role at CLARA. Before joining CLARA, Golde worked at NetBase Quid where she focused on the company’s strategy for artificial intelligence function.

CEO Gary Hagmueller said, “CLARA is transforming the P&C claims process through the use of cutting-edge AI and machine learning, which means we needed someone with Karin’s background to fulfill that vision. RSG Underwriting Managers Brings On Miles Wuller as Executive Vice President

Ryan Specialty Group (RSG) announced the hiring of Miles Wuller as executive vice president of RSG Underwriting Managers.

Wuller joined RSG in 2010 as the group’s global treasurer. He most recently served as RSG’s senior vice president of the underwriting managers sector.

“Miles’ promotion to Executive Vice President is well deserved, and it speaks to the incredibly important role that he plays in leading the underwriting managers. Adam Hamm, chief compliance officer, Allianz

Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty Hires Adam Hamm As Chief Compliance Officer

Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty (AGCS) hired Adam Hamm as its new chief compliance officer for North America.

Hamm’s areas of expertise include insurance regulation, cybersecurity and risk management.

He most recently served as the managing director or risk, compliance and technology with Protiviti.

Commenting on Hamm’s appointment, Julie Garrison regional head of legal and compliance said, “We welcome Adam to the AGCS Compliance team. His proven insurance experience and unique insights on insurance regulations and cybersecurity will be an asset to AGCS in North America and globally.”

Liberty Specialty Markets Promotes Ronald Bolaños As President

Liberty Specialty Markets (LSM) announced the promotion of Ronald Bolaños as president of US and Latin American operations.

Bolaños has 20 years of experience in the insurance industry, joining Liberty in 2012. Before his promotion, Bolaños served as LSM’s chief underwriting officer for the group’s Latin American businesses.

He is responsible for managing the growth of LSM by creating and specializing needs for various customers.

“I am delighted that this key role has gone to such a talented internal candidate,” said LSM President Matthew Moore.

“He brings professionalism and energy to everything he does. Ronald has great knowledge of our markets and clients, a global mindset and a technical understanding of this business.”

PartnerRe Announces Andrew Hughes As CEO, Third Party Capital

PartnerRe hired Andrew Hughes as CEO of third party capital. In this role, Hughes will be responsible for developing and maintaining growth of PartnerRe’s third party capital initiatives. Prior to joining PartnerRe, Hughes served as the managing principal at Hiscox ILS.

“Growing our third-party capital platform is an important strategic initiative for our Company,” PartnerRe president and CEO Jacques Bonneau said.

Tyler Van Spanje, chief executive officer, Vindati

Vindati Names New Chief Executive Officer

Vindati hired Tyler Van Spanje to be its new chief executive officer. Through his new executive role, Van Spanje plans to “continue the Growth Momentum of Vindati’s Online Quote, Bind & Issue Platform.”

Being one of the co-founders of Vindati, Van Spanje recently served as chief underwriting and innovation officer. He has also worked with major companies across the industry.

“Tyler’s extensive industry experience, his deep commitment to building Vindati and his vision for the future make him uniquely suited to hit the ground running in this new role,” said David Thomas, President of Vindati backer, Innovisk Capital Partners.
