Maxwell Romm
Senior Broker
WTW, New Orleans
With hybrid work arrangements and increasing reliance on cloudbased infrastructures post-COVID, Maxwell Romm realized a tech sector client was focusing on outdated business interruption exposures.
The new way of working meant the business should have been looking more closely at extra expenses, such as temporary office locations, rather than traditional BI scenarios.
After reassessing the risk, he helped the company adjust exposure values, better align its coverage with the risk profile and reduce insurance costs. For a separate client in the AI space, Romm convinced reluctant insurers to write coverage without the professional liability exclusion they initially proposed.
That work provided tailored coverage for his client and demonstrated his team’s ability to deliver innovative solutions.
“Max has an excellent understanding of how to support clients in achieving their goals with his extensive expertise in P&C lines,” said Alexandru Lascu, risk & insurance director at UiPath.
“He was particularly creative by identifying the rating and coverage structure best suited for UiPath’s workers’ comp coverage,” he added, and for the 2024 renewal, Romm “exceeded our expectations” by reducing insurance costs by more than 45% on the company’s U.S. P/C program.
The risk manager at an engineering/tech company called Romm “an educator and a consultant … Max delivers in every single engagement we have.”
