Marsh McLennan Agency Private Client Broker Emily Milnes Recognized as a 2022 Private Client Power Broker
Emily Milnes, Vice President, Client Advisory Manager, Marsh McLennan Agency Private Client Services
As she renewed coverage for a complex personal program in northern California’s wine country — where recent fires have aggravated insurance matters — Emily Milnes knew her clients could tolerate a higher deductible in order to save on premiums.
But the deductible was already at the carrier’s limit and Milnes was not sure if it would budge. By working directly with the underwriter on the account, Milnes secured a manuscripted policy with the sought-after deductibles and lower premiums.
“I feel like she’s been excellent advocate for us,” said the client, adding: “It’s been great to have someone that talented on our side.”
Milnes’ advocacy extends beyond renewal season.
For another client, she was a crucial sounding board for navigating issues with a former household employee that posed a risk. Milnes had already helped the client rework their insurance program.
“She just takes it to a whole other level,” the client said. “She’s very aware of what we have here, what our life is like.”
An executive assistant who oversaw insurance account with many moving parts for a high-net-worth individual, praised Milnes’ patience.
“I’ve never ever worked with anybody who was so willing to answer my repeat questions,” the assistant said. “Something could have easily fallen through the cracks but it never did.”
