Marsh Broker Jessica Levins Recognized as a 2021 Specialty Power Broker
Jessica Levins, Managing Director, Marsh
For Jessica Levins, managing director at Marsh, approach is everything.
Janet Gerken, insurance operations manager for Marathon Petroleum, experienced this firsthand. “We have thrown so much at her with mergers, acquisitions, runoff policies right and left, and she’s just done a fantastic job,” Gerken said.
“On this last renewal, she identified really early that we were going to lose our lead carrier on the D&O program and had potential others that were interested lined up really early in advance.”
Kyle Rogers, risk and real estate manager with HollyFrontier, was also the beneficiary of Levins’ substantial carrier relationships. “With the hardening to a hard insurance market she was able to manage my expectations,” Rogers explained.
“I’ve worked with her for eight or nine years now and she’s just really got a bead on everything. She knows every underwriter at a personal level.”
Specifically faced with the challenges 2020 brought due to COVID-19, Levins was also able to engineer a risk solution for an amusement park company halted indefinitely by the pandemic.
She worked with the client to craft a focused message to the D&O marketplace concentrating on efforts taken to increase liquidity and the ability to survive the long-term closures. The communication also focused on the quick steps taken since the pandemic started to shore up capital and keep employees safe.
