Gallagher Broker Ryan Wallace Recognized as a 2023 Employee Benefits Power Broker
Ryan Wallace, Area Vice President, Gallagher
The pandemic caused many businesses to shift gears and change their operating models over the last year.
One of Ryan Wallace’s health care clients underwent a significant change this year when it separated from the main hospital group’s ownership. This change affected 3,000 employees spread over several physicians’ offices, hospitals and outpatient facilities. Wallace partnered with the chief human resources officer to implement a smooth, efficient change while ensuring employees’ concerns were addressed.
After gathering and analyzing the data, Wallace structured a comprehensive employee benefits plan that included basic options and several voluntary ones. While employees were concerned about how the change would affect their benefits, Wallace worked to harmonize the plans to keep benefit levels similar or better than in the past — all while communicating every step of the way. In the end, the new benefits package provided plan designs equal to or richer than what the employees previously had enjoyed, and costs remained level.
Another of Wallace’s clients described how he partners with them to achieve their stated goals and helps identify new trends in the industry:
“We often ask Ryan for ways we can be the employer of choice and what types of best practices are out in the industry. Ryan has great ideas and has helped us drive for results. He is creative, extremely knowledgeable, and always willing to support us in any way we need.”
