AssuredPartners Broker John Henry Ward Recognized as a 2025 Agriculture Power Broker
John Henry Ward, Agency President, AssuredPartners
John Henry Ward’s foresight paid dividends when a cooperative faced rising costs for a policy covering its property and inventory. Ward suggested separating the two risks, a move that yielded savings of about 20%, the executive said.
“Before we really even asked the question, he had the solution.”
For a granary client, Ward realized that cost savings would come from the opposite approach: a combination of stock and marine policies.
“He took the time to learn our business and how we operate and then came back with ideas,” said an executive at the company.
Ward brings more than a professional eye to his clients’ challenges. His parents are farmers and, as a teenager, he started his own agriculture business.
“I’ll argue John Henry knows the agricultural industry as well as anyone, which gives our business the confidence in his ability to support us,” said a general manager at a Midwestern grain business.
The manager also praised Ward’s relationship-building skills. “John Henry is a frequent visitor who takes the time to communicate with not only myself but our employees,” the manager said.
Ward even dropped in soon after an incident at one of the company’s facilities. “He could have asked/answered questions over the phone, but he made it a point to be there in person to support us,” the manager said.
