Aon Broker Jonathan Kosin Recognized as a 2022 Construction Power Broker
Jonathan Kosin, Senior Vice President, Aon
Getting to know his client better has paid instant dividends for Jonathan Kosin.
Due to a lack of communication with the marketplace, Osmose Utilities Corporation was struggling to secure the right coverage. But Kosin stepped in, and after getting to know his new client, he helped the company to adapt to the market changes and double its coverage limit to include wildfire, which had been reduced the year before.
He also saved the firm a substantial amount in premium by incorporating its international operations into a global excess program.
In the same vein, Kosin added six new insurers to the insurance program for another client, insulation installer TopBuild, thus reducing its premium. Kyle Drawdy, director of risk and insurance at TopBuild, said, “Jonathan plays a key role in developing and maintaining our insurance program and building relationships with our markets in Bermuda and London.”
Kosin also helped property restoration contractor Belfor to expand its coverage across North America by introducing it to Aon colleagues in local offices in the U.S. and Canada.
Chris Jones, CFO at Belfor, said, “Jonathan is always 10 steps ahead by bringing these specialists to the table. That enables us to have the right conversations about coverage and pricing well in advance of our renewal dates.”
