When Fox Corporation, a company with offices in 46 countries, struggled to establish and maintain insurance requirements for vendors, VP of risk management Vincent Monastersky knew something needed to change.

He enlisted the help of broker Faye Yu to help in the development of a package that would be able to meet insurance requirements, both customary and sensible, for all 46 countries.

Yu’s responsibility within the project entailed polling an international network of brokers to gauge which coverages were feasible in each country, as well as the average buy for certain policies.

After Yu collected and compiled this data, Fox was able to create an insurance package containing four to five different lines of coverage and “various contractual wording [needed] in insurance requirements, such as additional insured and 30-day notice cancelation,” Monastersky said.

“It was definitely a challenge, but it was critical to the project, it couldn’t be done without it,” he said.

In the end, Fox Corporation now has what Monastersky calls “an invaluable tool” that is still being used to help benefit current work. And that wouldn’t have been possible with Yu’s dedication.

“It all comes down to Faye helping me with this project,” he said.
