One of Donald Poster’s clients is a family with 23 individual members and multi-generational wealth, which means their needs are complex and they have a lot of items they need to protect.
Their insurable assets alone total $1.5 billion.
The assests encompasses, in part, 110 residences in 15 states, five countries and three continents, fine art valued at $430 million, a $360 million car collection, $18 million in jewelry and extensive farm and hunting property.
Possessing such wealth doesn’t mean his clients aren’t looking for ways to reduce their premium and other costs, and Poster has come through for them in a big way.
“We did something that’s industry changing, to my understanding,” his client said.
“We took 250 individual policies and a carrier wrote them on a blanket basis, but each insured is still allowed to have their own designated limit as if they each still had their own policy. We went from 250 policies down to 1.”
The client says Poster’s of out-of-the-box thinking has enabled the family to save between $250,000 and $350,000 a year in premiums and commissions.
“He rose to the occasion when we, as a client, came to him and wanted to change the way policies are traditionally placed for a high volume, high valued account,” the client added.
