Argo Hires Chris Haarmann as Leader of Casualty
Back in June, Argo appointed Chris Haarmann as the Argo head of casualty in the U.S. and Bermuda, a role in which he reports to Gary Grose and to Matt Harris.
Haarmann came to Argo from Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance Group, where, since 2013, he served as president and chief operating officer. In this role he led development and execution of the firm’s new product offerings, new market segments and channels, and the expansion of its geographic footprint.
He has already taken to his role as senior vice president at Argo. Haarmann is already gearing up to expand his team’s capabilities by hiring 10 new underwriting members.
“I’m looking for new colleagues who keep pushing the boundaries of understanding and underwrite risk,” Haarmann said.
“At Argo, we take on complex, unique and interesting risks, so the best candidates are ones who continually want to learn something new to make an impact,” Haarmann added. &
