Every year, the editors of Risk & Insurance®, in sponsorship with Healthesystems, conducts a survey of our National Comp attendees. The goal of this survey is to hear from people living and breathing workers’ compensation every day on the trends and challenges facing the industry.

In years past, we’ve gleaned insight on how attendees view resiliency. some of the key disruptors to comp, critical challenges and more.

We’re delighted to be back in Las Vegas this year for National Comp 2023, where we want to know your thoughts on the challenges and triumphs workers’ compensation is facing today. Stop by the Risk & Insurance booth during the Sept. 20-22 show to share your thoughts, meet with some of our editors and delve into a copy of our Teddy Award issue.

Some things we’re looking to hear from you on:

What challenges facing the workers’ comp industry most concern you today?

Perhaps it’s the presence of increasingly complex claims? Or maybe cybersecurity risks top your list. From inflation to litigation, comorbidities impacting claims and more, there’s a lot the workers’ comp industry must weather. Which challenges are you watching?

What programs implemented by your organization have been the most beneficial?

It’s not just challenges we’re looking to gain insight on. There are also triumphs across the industry, from the implementation of wearables as a safety measure to new programs to bolster retention and recruitment. We want to hear all the ways your program has improved the claims process for injured workers.

What do you feel are the biggest barriers to injured worker recovery?

Comorbidities, access to quality and timely care, language or cultural barriers — the list of barriers is long. What are you seeing as the biggest impact to injured worker recovery? And what can the industry do to knock down these barriers for good?

Want to share your thoughts right now: Check out our survey link here.

This year’s conference promises to bring a lot of informational and quality content for attendees. We can’t wait to see you there! &
