Risk & Insurance® is proud to announce that its editorial team received a bronze Tabbie Award for its newsletter, “The Daily List.”

Presented by Trade, Association and Business Publications International (TABPI), which receives more than 400 submissions from around the globe in a multitude of categories, these awards aim to highlight the importance and relevance of B2B journalism and exemplify those who go above and beyond in the industry.

“Each year we see the variety of subjects being tackled by B2B publications participating in our program,” said Paul J. Heney, president of TABPI, on the company’s website.

“What always astounds me is the remarkable quality of the stories and images submitted each year by these print and online titles. Despite unremitting change in our industry, the one constant is that quality B2B journalism is thriving. The future for print and digital publications continues to look bright thanks to the resilience, creativity and commitment exhibited by the best among us.”

In its efforts to exemplify the resilience and creativity that Heney is talking about, the Risk & Insurance® digital team implemented a tireless redesign process during the spring and summer months of 2018.

First step: the website. Our homepage and individual article pages were updated to create a modern, visual image that also encompasses the magnitude of the industry; today, the editorial team continues to work daily to write and report stories that portray that same message.

In order to share content in a digital, fresh and engaging manner, our newsletter was created. We call it The Daily List from Risk & Insurance®.

It is carefully crafted to include content from across the industry, featuring everything from in-depth articles to industry profiles, news and announcements.

The Daily List from Risk & Insurance® includes the top 5 things we think insurers, brokers and risk managers need to know for that day. The content is hand-selected to meet industry needs and is committed to identifying the emerging risks of the industry, as well as telling the stories of the captivating individuals who drive it forward.

“Anyone who wins anything knows in their heart that it’s only through the efforts of an entire team that success was achieved,” said Dan Reynolds, editor in chief of Risk & Insurance®.

“Our efforts in the digital publishing realm have been persistent, and believe me, will be ongoing,” he added.

On top of awarding bronze to The Daily List in the category of “E-Newsletter,” the TABPI judges shared their thoughts on the transformation of our newsletter: “Compelling strategy behind redesign. Newsletter is clean with a bold, catchy headline/theme that makes it easy to digest, which is the most important element. Great use of red and black throughout and sophisticated sponsored content inclusion.”

The award is validation that Risk & Insurance® is evolving alongside the industry and that the redesign efforts were more than successful. In addition to the Tabbie for its newsletter, the Risk & Insurance® edit team also received an Honorable Mention for its website.

“Our sincere thanks to Paul Heney and the rest of his team at Trade Association and Business Publications International for this honor,” said Reynolds.
