Conduit Holdings Names Christian Dunleavy CEO, Succeeding Founder Neil Eckert
Conduit Holdings, the parent company of Bermuda-based reinsurer Conduit Re, appointed Christian Dunleavy as CEO, effective March 1, 2027. Dunleavy will also join the Conduit Holdings board as an executive director on the same date, succeeding Neil Eckert, who steps down after founding the company in 2020.
“He is a highly experienced reinsurance executive with a proven track record of underwriting excellence, leadership and strategic execution,” said Nicholas Shott, chair of Conduit Holdings.
Dunleavy brings more than 25 years of reinsurance industry experience to the role, most recently serving as director and group president of Aspen Insurance Holdings and CEO of Aspen Bermuda Limited.
He joined Aspen in 2015 as global head of property catastrophe reinsurance and rose through several senior leadership roles, including group chief underwriting officer, helping execute a business transformation that culminated in Aspen’s 2025 IPO on the New York Stock Exchange. Earlier in his career, he held senior underwriting roles at AXIS Capital and began his career at RenaissanceRe.
Eckert, who served as executive chairman before becoming CEO in May 2025, will work alongside Dunleavy through the transition. &
