Steward Risk Broker Daniel Carlisle Recognized as a 2026 Real Estate Power Broker
Daniel Carlisle, Managing Partner, Steward Risk

Daniel Carlisle, CPA, CIC, CPCU, CMIP
Managing Partner
Steward Risk, Corpus Christi, Texas
Just as his company name suggests, Daniel Carlisle brings a stewardship-first philosophy to insurance, an approach that gives real estate owners and financial institutions a partner who treats risk management as a data-informed financial discipline and a long-term relationship.
He recently led a full property and business interruption redesign for a large regional bank newly transitioning from a national brokerage after more than two decades. By conducting location-level maximum probable loss analyses and reviewing valuations with the bank’s CFO, he uncovered overstated limits and a non-certified sprinkler system that had cost the bank a key underwriting credit. After correcting the deficiency and rebuilding the program with a data-driven submission, he secured strong carrier engagement and delivered a 33% reduction in total property premiums, while expanding BI and ordinance & law coverage.
Carlisle handles 70% of the portfolio for David Long Holdings and recently brought together an insurance policy for Houston apartment complex with a 22% reduction in cost.
“He scours the market to give us all the options,” owner David Long said. Carlisle’s analytical foundation was shaped at FM, where he performed business impact analyses for Fortune 500 portfolios totaling $18 billion in exposure and reduced one client’s risk by $110 million. As a CPA and CPCU, he integrates financial modeling with program design, guiding clients through valuations, lender requirements, portfolio analytics, and innovative structures such as captives and parametric insurance.
