Marsh, Morristown, N.J.
When a client claims their broker “wildly exceeded our expectations,” you can bet something extraordinary happened. “Sara did a tremendous job renewing our environmental policy,” said Joe Michienzi, SVP, asset management, Competitive Power Ventures. An expiring three-year policy renewed at five years of broader coverage at a lower cost. “Clearly her familiarization with markets played a significant role in achieving such positive results.”
Allyson Vitale, risk manager, Colas Inc., said Sara Whiteway “consistently demonstrates exceptional dedication, deep knowledge of our complex vertically integrated organization, and a solutions oriented approach.” Whiteway helped Colas fix pollution insurance prices for a decade when she placed coverage for pre-existing environmental conditions discovered within 10 years at an acquired property, as well as new conditions arising during the period.
On another acquisition, similar coverage was arranged for pre-existing conditions discovered during a 10-year period and for five years of new conditions. The coverage effectively ringfences Colas’ pollution legal liability from claims related to the acquired company: “Sara’s expertise and ability to communicate complex concepts clearly make her an invaluable partner to our risk management team and a key contributor to the success of our road construction business,” Vitale said.
Whiteway also addressed PFAS exposures, helping arrange coverage with a $25 million limit and 10-year term that protected a client from legacy pollution exposures.
