Insurance Office of America Broker Max McKay Recognized as a 2024 Employee Benefits Power Broker
Max McKay, Employee Benefits Consultant, IOA
A personalized approach matters more than ever in today’s interconnected world, and employees need their HR teams to keep up with the times.
That’s where Max McKay really shines.
“This year, Max was able to bring us a new and innovative benefit plan for our employees that includes a wellness program that we’ve never been able to offer before,” said Kristy Krueger, vice president of human resources, Therapy Partner Solutions.
“It includes MRIs and bone scans and cancer screenings, as well as virtual visits four times a year. We had employees discover vital health information due to these screenings.” In addition to the benefits themselves, McKay acts as a real advocate and extension of Krueger’s team.
“If we have an employee where maybe their insurance is being slow to respond or they need to go out of network, he gets on the phone and makes it happen, and goes above and beyond. We’re always able to go back to the employees with a good solution to make sure they get the care they deserve,” she said.
Krueger also lauded McKay’s customer service and knowledge of her business and industry, calling it “a 10 out of 10.”
Lane Radford, senior director of human resources at Select Milk Producers, had similarly excellent experiences with McKay at a new employer, where she insisted he come on board to fix problems that arose under a different broker
