Hylant Broker Jessica Xie Recognized as a 2023 Manufacturing Power Broker
Jessica Xie, President, China Practice, Hylant
Jessica Xie’s secret to success is to put herself in her clients’ shoes to fully understand their needs and priorities.
Xie has many clients whose parent companies are based in China, and they benefit from another of her abilities: bilingual language skills and familiarity with Chinese and American cultures that help her get to know clients.
Xie’s experience has taught her what risks can be transferred through what type of insurance products, how to expertly set building replacement costs, how to accurately calculate business income value, and what support and guidance are needed when her clients have claims.
Joy Zheng, treasurer of Paslin, a design-build organization in the global automobile industry, said Xie helped the company after it had a fire that resulted in $3 million in losses.
“It’s very impressive that Jessica also was able to help us control [our] premium increase in the following renew,” Zheng said.
Despite premium price pressures, another client, Karen Hong, global CEO and president of Continental Aerospace Technologies, counts on Xie wherever she lands.
“Her deep manufacturing and business understanding have built her proficient foundation to manage many industries’ insurance challenges, from automotive to aviation, plastic to paper mills and many others,” Hong said. “Due to her outstanding performance and tremendous support, I have worked with her no matter where I work.”
