Gallagher Broker Michele Montgomery Recognized as a 2022 Education Power Broker
Michele Montgomery, Area Senior Vice President, Gallagher
When it comes to securing various lines of coverage and effectively handling several concerns within the education sector, Michele Montgomery is the broker you want at the helm.
One instance involved opening new dormitories for a client’s two-year college, which included the need for both crime and income loss coverage, as well as resolving claims brought on by climate change incidents, including hurricanes, sinkholes and mold.
And while her extensive knowledge of the industry is backed up by an almost 20-year career, Montgomery is not afraid to utilize a different approach when necessary. “If she’s got a new way of approaching [a challenge], she doesn’t hesitate,” said David Thomas, director of risk management services, North East Florida Educational Consortium. “I couldn’t image the success we’ve had without having Michele at my side.”
Additionally, Montgomery prides herself on remaining well-informed on the happenings of both the industry and the market, from investing in insurance designations to attending education conferences. She ensures that any information of benefit to her clients’ colleges or programs is delivered.
“One attribute that stands out the most about [Michele] is how she responds to every situation,” said Marsha Hackathorn, enterprise risk manager for the Florida College System Risk Management Consortium. “She’s always poised and bold. It’s a pleasure to be her client.”
