Aon Broker Sanju Rajan Recognized as a 2026 Transportation Power Broker
Sanju Rajan, Vice President, Property, Aon
If there’s one thing to know about Sanju Rajan, it’s that he is always consistent.
His clients praised his ability to remain level-headed and steady no matter the situation. One of Rajan’s clients knew him in a former role and had the opportunity to work with him again: “He was dynamite then, and he’s dynamite now,” they said.
The current organization needed insurance for light rail vehicles during an active construction project; typically, this coverage isn’t needed until the project is complete and the vehicles are in operation.
However, the company was tasked with maintaining the vehicles, testing them, and storing them: “Sanju … found a market. But it said no to testing. However, that was the whole purpose of us needing the insurance. He did the back and forth with the insurer to figure it all out. He reminded them why the insurer wanted to be a part of the program in the first place.”
As the second renewal approaches, the client said Rajan has even negotiated rate reductions as well as advising on coverages they hadn’t contemplated before.
For Tory Korn, director, business development, Skagway Port and Rail, Rajan “continues to exceed my expectations with respect to communication and professionalism each year. His ability to communicate changes in the market and our strategy to place our policies is very effective and he continually demonstrates a passion for his job that I don’t see very often.”
