Aon Broker Mollie Smith Recognized as a 2026 Fine Arts Power Broker
Mollie Smith, Account Executive, Aon
In working with her fine art clients, Mollie Smith makes it clear that she will be available when needed and that she can answer any question as it arises.
Her clients, in turn, are grateful for it.
For client Sansar, LLC, a newer entity in the art consultancy space, it’s not unusual to need rapid-fire, last-minute policy changes when art must be transported.
“If it’s a Friday morning and we need to take out a policy on a million-dollar painting that day so it can be moved, she is there for us, or she immediately connects us to one of her colleagues,” said consultant Lauren Sarmiento. “I don’t think she’s ever told us no, which I love, because if we can’t insure something, it could be a loss of business for us.”
Ohio State University was added to Smith’s business this year when their primary broker went on maternity leave. Josh Tabler, associate director of the Office of Enterprise Risk Management, Business and Finance, noticed how quickly Smith responded to queries.
“The engagement began on the front end of our renewal cycle. She helped us through that process and helped finalize the renewal on our behalf,” he said. “For customer service, I give her an A plus. She’s incredibly responsive and very knowledgeable.”
Tabler said that during this period, Smith also helped amend loan agreement draft contract language to ensure risk was appropriately allocated.
“She was protecting our own assets as well as our policy. We are never sitting around waiting for her to get back to us, and we really appreciate that.”
