Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty Appoints Two Hires
Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty (AGCS) announced additions to its North America Executive Management Team (EMT).
Carol Laufer has been named regional head of liability, North America. She joins AGCS from Zurich North America where she served as the U.S. National Accounts/Commercial Insurance, head of excess casualty.
Ciara Brady, global head of liability, said, “I am thrilled to welcome Carol on board and anticipate she will be a strong and proven Regional Head, who will continue moving the Liability business forward in North America.”
Additionally, Michael Pignataro was appointed as the regional head of energy & construction, North America. Pignataro originally joined AGCS in 2018 and has served as an underwriting manager over the last year.
“I feel very confident in this transition to Mike, who I know to be a results-focused, team-oriented individual, with a well-rounded background in all disciplines under our Energy & Construction umbrella,” said Chris van Gend, global head of energy & construction.
“As an underwriter, he’s been a leading producer, and is strong in business development and market analysis.”
Allegiant Global Partners Names Addition to SOLVER Team
Allegiant Global Partners announced the addition of Serena McGovern to the SOLVER team.
McGovern’s official title is assistant director of client safety and security. In this role, she will be responsible for aiding clients in both developing and enforcing global safety, security and hazard management programs.
Prior to joining Allegiant, McGovern served as the senior manager of global operations, safety and security, for the Clinton Health Access Initiative where she oversaw several safety and risk management plans for over 2,000 global employees.
CAC Specialty Announce Several New Appointments
CAC Specialty announced several new hires: Andrea Ash has been named executive vice president, head of operations at CAC Natural Resources, Geraldine Kerrigan was hired as executive vice president, head of service for power & renewables and Michael Newman has been named executive vice president for power and renewables within the natural resources division.
Ash brings over 14 years of operations, strategy and process improvement experience to CAC Specialty. Prior to her appointment, she served as the chief operating officer of Beecher Carlson’s global energy practice.
Kerrigan has over 20 years’ experience working within power, renewable energy and utilities. She most recently served as the executive managing director of Beecher Carlson’s global energy practice. She was named a Risk & Insurance Power Broker® in 2018.
Newman joins CAC Specialty with 25 years of industry experience. Prior to his hiring, he also worked for Beecher Carlson’s global energy practice as the managing director.
Monarch E&S Names Commercial Underwriter/Broker
Monarch E&S Insurance Services, a division of Specialty Program Group/SPG Insurance Solutions, announced the hiring of Danielle Newsome as a commercial underwriter and broker in the construction sector.
In this role, Newsome will be working closely with brokerage carriers to develop strong industry relationships. She brings 15 years of surplus lines experience to Monarch E&S.
