Tower MSA Partners Promotes Jesse Shade to Chief Technical Officer

Tower MSA Partners announced that Jesse Shade has been promoted to chief technology officer.

In his new role, Shade will manage both strategic planning and development of Tower’s technologies, which include architecture, cyber security, data transfer and business continuity.

Shade first joined Tower MSA Partners in 2017 as the director of information technology. His most recent role with Tower was as senior vice president of information technology.

Additionally, Shade has played a role in the development of software and systems for Tower.

Jeffrey Moxley, employee benefits team, IOA

Insurance Office of America Adds to Southeast Team

Insurance Office of America announced the hiring of Jeffrey Moxley to its growing southeast employee benefits team.

Moxley brings over 17 years of industry experience to his new role with IOA. He most recently served as the vice president of employee benefits for Frank H. Furman Inc./Acrisure.

“Companies are re-evaluating their benefits packages to attract new talent and retain current employees, and Jeff’s addition to our employee benefits team will bring added value to our clients,” said IOA chairman and CEO Heath Ritenour.

“Jeff’s years of experience in the space will add to our already knowledgeable employee benefits team, and we’re looking forward to him providing expert advice and helping to continue grow our footprint in the region.”

TigerRisk Announces London Retro Practice Partner

TigerRisk Partners LLC announced that Ollie Denbigh has been hired to join its London Retro practice as a partner.

Denbigh joins TigerRisk from Aon, where he served as a senior broker within the non-marine specialty team.

Prior to his role with Aon, he worked with Willis Re as a multi-territory property CAT specialist.

“Ollie is a fantastic addition to the team,” said Alex Bridges, head of Retro.

“His wealth of experience having worked across the classes during his career representing reinsurers globally gives him an invaluable insight into structuring, pricing and placement strategies that will be extremely beneficial to our clients as they navigate this period in the cycle.”

Zurich North America Names Head of Claims University

Terry-Dawn Thomas, head of Claims University, Zurich North America

Zurich North America hired Terry-Dawn Thomas as the head of Claims University, a platform that provides a wide variety of onboarding and training services to Zurich North America employees.

In this role, Thomas will work to create a “more consistent and collaborative learning experience across the business unit,” a press release announcing the appointment said.

Thomas has worked with Zurich for eight years, most recently serving as a managing attorney for the staff legal office in Atlanta.

“I am excited to see Terry-Dawn leverage her great blend of leadership and technical expertise to drive a more consistent, collaborative and dynamic learning experience across the Claims department,” Doug Meyers, chief operations officer of North America claims said.

“I am confident Terry-Dawn’s vision matched with her proven track record of delivering successful outcomes will have a lasting impact on our employees and customers.”

Aon Appoints Complex Client Strategy Leader

Aon announced the appointment of Frederick Streeton as leader of complex client strategy of Aon’s Reinsurance Solutions.

Streeton joins Aon from Liberty Mutual, where he most recently served as head of underwriting strategy of global risk solutions.

He brings over 30 years of experience to Aon.

Nick Frankland, UK CEO of Reinsurance Solutions, said, “Fred’s insights into a major client’s handling of gross to net risk and his role in optimizing that relationship through reinsurance, combined with his previous broking experience, will bring what we believe is an invaluable perspective and new range to our large client proposition.”

MedRisk Hires Senior Vice President of Technology

MedRisk named John Jakovcic as senior vice president of technology.

In this role, Jakovcic will oversee both project management and client solutions while also collaborating with MedRisk’s technology leadership. Additionally, he will work on crafting strategies relating to cyber security, business continuity and automation.

Jakovcic brings more than 25 years of information technology within disability and group health insurance companies and workers’ comp TPAs to his role with MedRisk.

Prior to his appointment, he served as vice president of information technology, premier life, absence and disability solutions for Aflac.

“We are excited to have John bring his range of skills and industry knowledge to help further MedRisk’s growth,” said president Danielle Lisenbey.

“His contributions and our continued investment in modern technology and innovation will help MedRisk maintain the highest clinical and customer service standards in the workers’ comp industry.” &
