Ametros recently announced two executive transitions; Porter Leslie has been promoted as the company’s CEO and a member of its board of directors. Former CEO Marques Tolbert will be transitioning to his role as chairman of the board of directors.

Leslie joined Ametros in 2015 and had a direct hand in growing the company from 10 employees to over 100.

Tolbert has served as Ametros’ CEO since 2013. He is stepping down from his executive role to pursue heading a private equity firm that will work to invest in Black-owned businesses “with the goal of reducing the wealth gap for this demographic,” according to the news release.

“While Marques will be missed, Ametros is in great hands,” said Jim Brown, an Ametros board member and managing partner of Long Ridge Equity Partners, the company’s majority shareholder.

“Porter and Marques have operated the business as partners, guiding the company through explosive growth and success. Porter is a strategic thinker who has a clear vision for continuing the company’s impressive growth. We are pleased that Marques will continue to hold a leadership role as chairman of the board.”
