Marsh - South and Studer

Marsh appointed Nick Studer as president and CEO of Marsh Risk and Martin South as chief client officer, effective April 1. Studer succeeds South in the Marsh Risk leadership role.

“Our vision is to make Marsh the most impactful professional services firm in the world. These appointments will help us accelerate growth, increase our agility, unlock additional value for our clients, and realize our vision,” said John Doyle, president and CEO of Marsh.

Studer joined Oliver Wyman in 1997 and held senior consulting roles across its consumer, industrial, and financial services practices before becoming president and CEO in 2021. His experience advising corporate and public sector leaders on risk and transformation spans nearly three decades.

South rejoined Marsh in 2007 and led the business across multiple regions, including Asia-Pacific, UK and Ireland, Europe, and US and Canada, before becoming president and CEO of Marsh Risk in 2022. In his new enterprise-wide role, South will bring Marsh’s capabilities together to help clients navigate complex macro environments and apply AI and other technologies to enhance the client experience.

Both will continue to serve on Marsh’s Executive Committee and report to Doyle. &
