Matt Hannon Promoted to U.S. National Casualty Practice Leader at Aon

Aon announced the immediate promotion of Matt Hannon to U.S. national casualty practice leader, reporting directly to Stephen Hackenburg, property and casualty leader for Aon commercial risk in North America.

Hannon, who began his insurance career in 1996, joined Aon in August 2022 as chief broking officer for the casualty practice.

Before joining Aon, he served as an executive vice president at WTW, holding various leadership positions across North America, including Midwest region, Western region, and NY metro casualty leader. Hannon’s extensive experience includes leading small business, middle market, and large complex casualty segment teams out of New York City and Boston. He also boasts over a decade of M&A experience.

Hannon’s promotion follows the transition of Stephen Hackenburg, whom he replaces in this role. &
