In2Risk Conference Set for Las Vegas Oct. 19-21
In2Risk will be held October 19-21 at Resorts World Las Vegas. Hosted by the CPCU Society, this annual event features three days of educational content, CPCU Society business meetings, and industry networking. In2Risk concludes with an evening celebration of new CPCU designation-holders on Wednesday, October 21.
The CPCU designation is conferred upon candidates who meet educational, ethical, and experiential standards and has been in existence since 1944. Membership in the CPCU Society—and attendance at In2Risk—is open to every insurance professional across the globe.
Peter Miller, CEO of The Institutes and himself a CPCU designee, will kick off the educational program by moderating a panel discussion featuring three senior industry leaders sharing executive insights on the forces shaping the future of insurance. The panelists will share how they are navigating macro forces no one can fully control. These include the pressures of social inflation on the litigation landscape, the acceleration of AI and the instances of fraud that accompany it and the effects of climate change on insurability and sustainability.
In2Risk ends with a closing ceremony that includes the annointment of the newest CPCU designees. The closing session speaker this year will be Colin O’Brady, 11-time world record-breaking explorer and New York Times bestselling author, who will share a powerful message of resilience and possibility. O’Brady is known for completing the world’s first solo, unsupported crossing of Antarctica. He now partners with Fortune 500 companies to share his story on mindset and peak performance with corporate audiences.
Expert-Led, Peer-Reviewed Content
While most conferences are a great place to network and meet new business contacts, In2Risk goes beyond the networking tables and cocktail hours with expertly curated content. Every session is vetted by industry peers and facilitated by experts. Sessions are delivered across a variety of formats designed to engage and appeal to adult learners, including hands-on workshops, moderated panel discussions, interactive unplugged sessions, and express talks on leadership and technical topics.
And while AI will continue to be a hot topic at most industry conferences in 2026, speakers at In2Risk go beyond the surface to bring you sessions that explore the depth and breadth of AI applications and their implications.
Insurance educator Patrick Wraight will present a session that provides a clear framework on the ethical and defensible use of AI to reduce E&O exposure and improve client trust. Delli Bhaskar Jagadeesan, Principal Technology Evangelist at Guidewire, will explore the juxtaposition between underwriters and the AI technology supporting their decision-making in his session titled “The Rise of the AI-Augmented Insurance Professional.”
A hands-on workshop facilitated by Robin Levine, Lead Software Engineer at State Farm Insurance, will give audiences a chance to experience the insurance-specific capabilities of AI-enabled tools through a live demonstration of a chatbot designed to capture and transfer legacy risk management and insurance knowledge to the next generation.
Finally, a panel discussion will explore how organizations are navigating accountability when AI-assisted tools shape results in regulated environments, using real-world case studies to answer questions about accountability and who actually owns the decision when AI has been used to help render it. Led by Alexandra Santo, Manager of Professional Liability Claims at Golden Bear Insurance Company and Henry Su, General Counsel at Golden Bear Insurance Company, this session will provide a hands-on perspective from experts working with the technology.
There are a wide variety of unique risks and exposures in the greater Las Vegas area. In one session, panelists will tell the story of the Las Vegas Valley Water District through an ERM perspective, featuring a risk manager, broker, and credit rating analyst.
The Black Insurance Industry Collective (BIIC), an affiliate of The Institutes, will host a panel discussion examining how gaps in workforce strategy, succession planning, and leadership development affect decision-making, innovation, and long-term performance. The 2026 CPCU Society Leadership Council President and Chair, Elaine George, will present a session on protecting multinational risks, which will cover how a Controlled Master Program helps align global insurance standards with local rules and fill gaps created by restrictive or inconsistent local policies.
Additional educational sessions will cover topics like parametric insurance; the evolution of loss control; avoiding burnout among employees; claims investigative best practices; ethics and mentorship; and climate risk and insurance innovation.
