McGriff Broker Annette Nitti Recognized as a 2025 Transportation Power Broker
Annette Nitti, Senior Vice President, McGriff
For more than 30 years, Annette Nitti has worked with transportation firms both as an underwriter and broker — from middle market to large risk management companies in all facets of risk.
Chase Welsh, chief administrative officer and general counsel at STG Logistics, explained that Nitti brought a solution to help STG Logistics self-insure more risk and significantly reduce its collateral requirements through the establishment of a risk retention group.
This solution reduced the premiums and reduced interest obligations on outstanding letters of credit, providing a significant cash savings to the company.
Specifically, the risk retention group freed up the company’s line of credit, reduced the frictional cost of that credit, and created greater portability with its insurance program long term.
“Annette provides the highest level of customer service I have experienced from a broker. She is available at all times to handle all issues,” Welsh said. “Annette is an extension of STG, and we can always count on her to execute. Annette truly makes everyone else’s job easier.”
Welsh has worked with Nitti for more than 10 years.
“There is no one else that I have more trust in when it comes to making sure our company is in the best possible risk position,” Welsh said.
“Her industry knowledge is unparalleled and she continually works to understand our evolving business.”
