Griffin O’Donnell has mastered the art of managing, consolidating, and coordinating complicated policies for clients with complex needs. For one client, O’Donnell was called in to review coverage and identify gaps.

He and his team uncovered various issues ranging from inconvenient to serious, and O’Donnell worked with the client and carrier to remedy those issues. With one of the most serious problems being a lapse in coverage, O’Donnell persuaded the carrier to write a mid-term builder’s risk policy and successfully and quickly resolved several other coverage issues for the client.

Another client came to O’Donnell in the middle of a home renovation project. The client felt the replacement value was too high and was frustrated by confusing estimates during the renovation.

O’Donnell reviewed the issues, then requested a pre-inspection by a new carrier to determine if the replacement value was overinflated. O’Donnell attended the pre-inspection with a laundry list of questions, helping to find savings for the client.

The ultimate resolution was a replacement value aligned with market costs, $40,000 in savings, and a client who better understood his coverage and risk.

“He handled the placement of a complex custom townhouse policy with ease while providing great customer service,” O’Donnell’s client said. “There had been a number of add-ons and exclusions due to a renovation and construction program that he helped us work through, and he was able to also find us a number of savings and discounts.”
