Marsh Broker Leigh Ann Rodgers Recognized as a 2020 Hospitality Power Broker
Leigh Ann Rodgers, Property Placement Leader, Marsh Wortham
A 16-year industry veteran and property expert, Leigh Ann Rodgers attributes her success in part to being mentored by some of the best in the business. She explains that her consistent focus has been on learning. That philosophy, it seems, has served her well.
In one example of how she exemplifies the Power Broker mindset, a food distribution client experienced financial loss after Hurricanes Harvey and Irma.
Customers and suppliers were impacted by these storms, which led to client income losses. As a result, Rodgers worked with the risk management team to build a strategy that helped it maximize recovery for its contingent business interruption loss. She also negotiated a creative property renewal program structure in a hardening and challenging marketplace, exceeding client expectations.
“Leigh Ann goes well beyond the call of duty,” said Mary-Margaret Burnham, director of risk management for Omni Hotels/TRT Holdings, Inc., a privately held trust.
“Year after year, among other things, Leigh Ann has met budgetary requirements and checked our policy to ensure that anything that can be monetized will be done.”
“Leigh Ann crafted a manuscript property form for us that we took to market a couple of years ago with very favorable coverage as a result,” added Jeff Strege, risk manager, Sysco Corp.
“With our prior broker, we had a huge number of inconsistencies in coverage, and if we had a loss, it would have been a nightmare adjustment. Leigh Ann has solved a whole lot of problems for us.”
