IOA Broker Andy Pettise Recognized as a 2026 Entertainment, Hospitality & Gaming Power Broker
Andy Pettise, VP, National Restaurant Division, IOA
Andy Pettise helps franchisee owners and leaders protect their businesses while cutting costs.
Before he was in insurance, Pettise spent 20 years in the restaurant industry as a franchisee with three national brands. This first-hand experience has given him a deep understanding of the risks, challenges, and opportunities that operators face daily.
One of Pettise’s areas of specialty is helping reduce workers’ compensation expenses. One customer, a restaurant group that owns eight national franchise locations, noted that Pettise and his team provide general liability, building, workers’ compensation, cyber, and umbrella coverage for their restaurants.
A management executive at the company said he consistently goes “above and beyond anything we’ve ever seen with insurance professionals before.”
“He reviewed our needs in depth and was able to identify some issues with our prior policy. Andy and his team provide a dynamic duo with industry experience and insurance needs,” he said.
Another owner of a restaurant group with national franchises said Pettise was instrumental in helping the company handle several claims, including a “difficult legal issue” in recent years.
“He was a franchisee. He understands the business, what it takes to be a business owner, and he really advocates for you,” the owner said. “He has helped tremendously with risk management programs, takes calls off hours, and is there for you.”
