Insurance Office of America Broker Phillip Lane Recognized as a 2022 Construction Power Broker
Phillip Lane, Vice President, Insurance Office of America
No job is too big or complex for Phillip Lane.
Engaged by his client Angi Roofing LLC dba Total Home Roofing to place general liability and umbrella liability coverage, he got to work straight away.
Lane was able to drive down the rate significantly to better position his client to manage general liability claims.
He also secured workers’ comp coverage, including a 0.59 experience modification by filing an ERM-14 form with the National Council on Compensation Insurance.
For another client, Dynasty Building Solutions LLC, Lane placed workers’ compensation coverage with a regional insurer and secured a sliding scale dividend with a potential 32% return premium at audit.
Proving that he has more strings to his bow, Lane obtained auto insurance for the more than 130 vehicle fleet of Angi Roofing’s parent IAC/InterActiveCorp in Florida and Ohio, and worked with his client to develop a formalized written fleet safety program.
Daniel Rivera, director, risk management at IAC/InterActiveCorp, said, “Phillip’s familiarity with contractor operations, coupled with his knowledge of the construction marketplace resonated with me and suggested that he could be instrumental in helping to secure coverage for post-transaction operations. Throughout the process, Phillip was extremely responsive and was able to anticipate possible challenges that we might face in the marketplace.”
