EPIC Insurance Broker Rhonda Mack Recognized as a 2021 Agriculture Power Broker
Rhonda Mack, Managing Principal, EPIC Insurance Brokers
Like many other lines, equine insurance has become more difficult to place this past year.
Large mortality claims have led to increased rates and stricter underwriting, with some carriers raising premiums, introducing exclusions or increasing co-pays.
For small family farms, these changes can have a significant financial impact. Rhonda Mack helps farms and individual horse owners understand policy changes and fights for the best terms and pricing possible.
Thanks to her strong, long-standing relationships with underwriters and her expertise in the equine industry — she grew up riding and caring for horses herself — she comes to the table knowing what it will take to make carriers comfortable with a risk.
Despite limitations on riding lessons, competitions and shows in this last year, horses are still vulnerable to injury and still require regular care to stay in top shape.
Mack has helped to keep her clients’ animals covered and cared for through this current period of uncertainty.
“Rhonda Mack is an amazing professional who is outstanding in her field. She has helped our farm and family continue to be a standout in the equine community,” said Stacey Weiss, owner of Shadow Ridge Farm.
“She really cares about her clients and the animals that she insures for us. On a scale of one to 10, she is a 10! Whatever we need, at almost any hour, she is available for us. It is a great feeling to know that she is part of our team at Shadow Ridge.”
