Beecher Carlson Broker Peter Kranz Recognized as a 2020 Captives Power Broker
Peter Kranz, Executive Managing Director, Beecher Carlson
For an industry with as broad a reach as insurance, it can be mind-numbing to consider just how misunderstood commercial and primary lines are by regulators and the public.
Primary layer property and casualty insurance is one thing. But add in the specialty of captives and you have a level of a professional practice that barely one in a thousand would comprehend.
Thankfully, for his clients, there is Beecher Carlson’s Peter Kranz. For a real estate company, Kranz developed one of the first tenant liability programs for a large, multi-family property owner.
In addition, Kranz and his risk manager client developed a captive solution for a unique professional liability exposure held by the ultimate owner of the real estate company.
For another client, Kranz and his team at Beecher worked with the client’s human resources and risk finance functions to develop programs for employee medical financing. He and the client are also in the evaluation stages of developing risk financing opportunities such as performance guarantees and programs with parametric triggers.
“I would rate Pete and his team as first class in the area of customer service. They are always available, day and night,” said an admiring and thankful client.
“Given that I am UK-based and they are based in Vermont, and I’m traveling around the U.S., they are always focused on our needs and aims rather than simply relying on prior knowledge or what other insurers are offering,” the client said.
