Aon/Huntington T. Block Broker Adrienne Reid Recognized as a 2022 Fine Arts Power Broker
Adrienne Reid, CIC, Vice President, Aon/Huntington T. Block
Mara Hoffman was in a bind.
The director of Lapis Lazuli: Medieval & Renaissance Treasures Ltd., she needed coverage for a group of works from a private collection that were being loaned to the Getty Museum.
The art was in transit but insurance coverage was elusive due to the high value of the works. She tried a number of carriers, but no go. Then she decided to reach out to Adrienne Reid.
Reid got the job done.
“I was getting to a state of desperation,” Hoffman said. “Once we were put in touch [with Reid], it was within 24 hours that I had the coverage placed.”
Another client appreciates Reid’s desire to remain abreast of the different trends in the fine arts industry.
For the past year, David Hurwitz has been working with Reid to understand how the sector can be more environmentally sustainable. His company, Hangman NYC, offers transportation, installation, packing and crating services to galleries. He wanted to know what he could do to protect the environment while still running his business and complying with insurance requirements.
“We run trucks all over the country. Even my little company burns between 200 and 300 gallons of fuel per day,” he said.
“We have been really brainstorming ways in which I can be compliant with insurance as well as more environmentally sustainable, and that’s one way she’s been really creative.”
