Broker Max West goes above and beyond to get his clients the coverage they need. Some might even say his work on complex deals is “magical.”
When a client purchased a steel mill property, West helped them navigate through a five-year-long process to get the deal to close.
The site went through multiple phase-one assessments so that it could receive protected purchaser status, which would allow the client to buy contaminated property without becoming liable.
Because the site was in California, the client was also concerned with gaining insurance protections from any state claims that could arise. “The insurance was meant to fill the gap where the law didn’t give us liability protection,” the client said.
West was able to get the client state and federal assurances through their due diligence in gaining phase-one assessments and an insurance policy that filled the gap for any claims that could arise.
“Max was patient with us, and he stuck with us to help us make sure there was a quote at the end of this process,” his client said.
His quick response times, ability to broker complex deals and his knowledge of the environmental space have all allowed West to broker policies that amaze his clients. As one of them said, “He’s able to pull rabbits out of hats.”
