Willis Towers Watson Appoints Susan Finbow as Global Head of FINEX

Willis Towers Watson, which recently merged with Aon, announced the appointment of Susan Finbow as global head of FINEX (Financial, Executive and Professional Risks) Financial Institutions.

“Susan brings tremendous expertise to the leadership of our FINEX practice,” Jeremy Wall, global head of FINEX, said.

“We’re confident that her experience and in-depth knowledge of financial, executive and professional risk areas will provide strong value to our clients as they continue to face a complex litigation and regulatory landscape.”

Finbow will be based in Toronto and hold responsibilities for  the direction and servicing of FINEX Financial Institutions teams and client portfolios.

She will develop risk solutions for Willis Towers Watson clients across the FINEX product lines.

Prior to joining Willis Towers Watson, Finbow held positions with Marsh Canada for nearly 24 years, and held the role of financial institutions industry practice leader for the last 13 years of her tenure. 

Monica Manske Joins PMA Companies

Monica Manske, senior strategic risk control consultant, PMA Companies

Monica Manske has joined PMA Companies as a senior strategic risk control consultant providing services to insured and self-insured clients, primarily in the New York area.

Manske brings risk management expertise to PMA’s healthcare industry clients, which include hospitals, long-term care and assisted living facilities.

Manske previously served as senior manager, workers’ compensation at Rochester Regional Health, which was recognized as a 2017 Teddy Award winner. She is a Risk & Insurance® Risk Insider and has presented at the National Workers’ Compensation and Disability Conference & Expo® (National Comp).

Aspen Appoints Kevin Chidwick Group Chief Financial Officer

Aspen Insurance Holdings Limited announced has appointed Kevin Chidwick to group chief financial officer, effective May 1, 2020. 

Chidwick previously served as chief financial officer at Openwork Limited. From September 2005 to August 2014, he was CFO of Admiral Group Plc. 

He will report to Mark Cloutier, executive chairman and group chief executive officer, and succeeds Scott Kirk.

“Kevin is an extremely accomplished financial services executive who has held a number of senior roles within diverse and successful companies. His proven track record of growing businesses through his strategic insights and strong financial acumen make him an exciting hire for Aspen at this time in our evolution,”Cloutier said. 

Quantemplate Adds Three New Hires

Quantemplate, provider of self-service cloud-based automated data solutions for the reinsurance industry, made three additions to its global team – Simon Fagg, Rick de Jager, and Shannon Perry. The new hires join the sales and solutions teams respectively and are responsible for continuing the growth and expansion across the U.S. and Europe. 

Simon Fagg joins the sales team in the U.S. office as vice president of the Americas, Sales & Solutions. He has 20 years of insurance industry experience. Most recently, he held the title of global program management director, Solutions PMO.

Rick de Jager joins Quantemplate’s London office as the European sales director, where he will manage business development activities within the European market. Prior to joining Quantemplate, de Jager held the role of sales director, Credit Risk Solutions Specialist at Fitch Solutions. 

Shannon Perry joins the U.S. team as a Solutions Architect where she will be responsible for optimizing the Quantemplate platform. She brings nearly a decade of experience in finance, insurance, and technology industries, holding positions with Insight Catastrophe Group and Federal Reserve Bank Challenge. Perry spent a majority of her professional career with T. Rowe Price, most recently as a senior analyst.

QBE North America Announces Dan Moore as COO

QBE North America announced Dan Moore as its next chief operating officer. He will lead claims, technology and operations. He will oversee communications and branding. 

Moore will report to Todd Jones, chief executive officer. He will also serve on the executive committee.  

“We’re thrilled to have Dan officially step into the role of Chief Operating Officer,” said Jones.

“Since he joined QBE in 2013, he has proven himself as an effective leader who rallies his teams and delivers outstanding results. His teams have successfully launched many innovative services to improve customer service such as TextQBE, our AI-powered communications platform that speeds and enhances communications with customers when they have a claim.” 

Worldwide Facilities Hires John Curry as Senior Vice President

National wholesale insurance broker, managing general agent and program underwriter Worldwide Facilities announced the hire of John Curry as senior vice president. Curry will be located in the New York, NY office.  

Curry’s most recently held the role of vice president for a casualty team focusing on construction risks specializing in New York placements. 

He has worked in brokerage roles throughout the New York Casualty market since 2007.  

Curry is a graduate of Fordham University and an active member of the John Street Club and IBANY NY. 

TigerRisk Names Brian O’Neill Partner and Client Executive

Brian O’Neill, partner and client executive, TigerRisk Partners

TigerRisk Partners LLC, risk/capital management and strategic advisory firm, announced that Brian O’Neill has been named partner and client executive of its Florida business.

In his new role, O’Neill will foster the development of property catastrophe solutions in Florida and other coastal states. He will be based in Tampa.

O’Neill most recently served as managing director and head of Guy Carpenter’s Tampa office.

Wade Gulbransen, head of North American operations at TigerRisk commented on the appointment: “Brian is one of the industry’s foremost experts on property-casualty reinsurance in Florida. His highly specialized knowledge and years of experience will be a tremendous asset to TigerRisk and our clients.”
