HomeCare Connect Brings on Lisa Maciolek as National Account Manager

HomeCare Connect, a provider of home care workers’ compensation services, has hired Lisa Maciolek as a national account manager.

She will be responsible for managing national client relationships and implementing new concepts and services. She brings considerable account management experience.

Maciolek previously worked with QRS for 26 years. Most recently she served as assistant vice president, account management for Optum.

“I’ve known Lisa since our QRS days, and her exceptional relationship building skills and strategic project management abilities fit perfectly with our service-oriented philosophy,” said HomeCare Connect partner Vonesa Wenzel.

Maciolek is a dedicated hospice volunteer along with serving as a Professional Development Workshop Instructor, Perfect Fit for Women-YMCA, and a mentor with the Literacy Center-Allentown.

Guy Carpenter Appoints a New Global Falculative Leader

Guy Carpenter & Company, LLC, a leading global risk and reinsurance specialist and a business of Marsh & McLennan Companies has appointed of Dominic Samengo-Turner to the role of global facultative leader.

He will be responsible for driving collaboration and connectedness across facultative practice and bring a global lens to the operations.

Based in London, he will report to John Trace, CEO, North America, with accountability to James Nash, CEO, International as well.

Samengo-Turner has over 35 years of career experience , having held key senior leadership roles in London and Asia at JLT and other global insurance brokers. In his previous role, Samengo-Turner acted as head of Marsh JLT Specialty, Asia, based in Hong Kong.

“Dominic will help bring increased collaboration to our already successful regional practices,” said Peter Hearn, president and chief executive officer, Guy Carpenter.

Simon Delchar Appointed to Replace Dominic Samengo-Turner as Head of Marsh JLT Specialty

Succeeding Samengo Turner as Head of Marsh JLT Specialty, Asia is Simon Delchar. Delchar will assume his new role January 1, 2020.

Delchar brings 30 years of insurance industry experience to the role, having previously held senior leadership positions at JLT, Marsh and Alexander Howden. He will report to Lucy Clarke, President, Marsh JLT Specialty and David Jacob, CEO, Marsh Asia and will remain based in Singapore.

Delchar will have oversight of Marsh JLT Specialty’s Energy, Credit, Marine, Financial and Professional, Private Equity and M&A (PEMA), Construction, and Aviation businesses for the region.

“Since its formation in April, Marsh JLT Specialty has been building on the formidable strength of talent and resources from both Marsh and JLT to deliver an enhanced offering to clients,” said Lucy Clarke.

Hans A. Hagen Named President, CEO of Insurance Recovery Group

Hans A. Hagen has been named president and chief executive officer of Insurance Recovery Group.

Hagen has worked in the insurance industry for more than 30 years and held a variety of executive leadership positions.

Hagen will spearhead a dedicated team of attorneys, subrogation specialists, and reimbursement specialists in pursuing recoveries through Insurance Recovery Group, Inc. (IRG), Insurance Subrogation Group, LLC (ISG) and its Captive Law Firm, Insurance Recovery Legal Associates (IRLA).

“Hans is a strategic thinker with a proven track record of continuous organizational improvement and profitable growth,” said chairman David A. Jollin.

“Under his leadership, IRG will continue to grow, innovate and lead the subrogation and recovery industry.”

Prior to joining IRG, Hagen had an extensive career at Liberty Mutual, holding numerous leadership positions including vice president of workers’ compensation.

The Floow Names Julie Sehrt Delivery Director

The Floow, a telematic provider with the mission of making mobility safer, has named Julie Sehrt as delivery director.

Sehrt brings 22 years of experience in program and account management, operations, billing, logistics, retail and e-commerce. She has experience in the full product life cycle, which includes strategy, solution implementation, pilot testing and ongoing operations.

“Time and again, Julie has shown herself to be an energetic, energizing leader in a variety of industries,” said Danny Maco, senior vice president and general manager, Americas, The Floow.

“We anticipate she will bring new energy to The Floow’s operations in North America. Our clients deserve nothing less than best in class operational support.  Joseph Hurley Joins Willis Towers Watson

Willis Towers Watson, a global advisory, broking and solutions company announced that Joseph Hurley has joined the company as director, corporate risk and broking. He will be based out of San Francisco.

Prior to his appointment at Willis Towers Watson, Hurley served as the senior manager of risk solutions for Lyft.

Before Lyft he was a was a risk manager at PG&E Corporation and a casualty advisor at Marsh.

 Munich Reinsurance America Promotes Kuchma, Chief Operations Officer

Munich Reinsurance America, Inc. (Munich Re) has appointed Anita Kuchma as chief operations officer of the reinsurance division.

Kuchma has 27 years of experience with Munich Re in various leadership positions. She will report directly to Steve Levy, president and chief executive officer of reinsurance.

“Anita has an in-depth understanding of our business and is uniquely qualified to assume the COO position, said Levy.

“She is a highly respected professional, dedicated to promoting engaged, team-based problem solving. FM Global Appoints Sonserae Toles as Vice President, Inclusion

Commercial property insurer FM Global has promoted Sonserae Toles as vice president, inclusion. This is a newly enacted role within the company.

Toles is responsible for providing leadership for diversity and inclusion-based efforts globally and is based at FM Global’s headquarters in Johnston, Rhode Island.

Before joining FM Global, she served for approximately three years as group vice president of global talent management at T. Rowe Price in Baltimore, Maryland.

She has held previous leadership roles within other major corporations such as General Electric.

Toles holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, USA, and a master’s degree in human resources development from George Washington University, Washington, D.C., USA.

Risk Strategies Appoints Bob Dubraski as Chief Growth Officer

Risk Strategies, an international insurance broker, has named Bob Dubraski as chief growth officer.

Dubraski previously served as national health care practice leader. In his expanded role, he will work with leaders across all of Risk Strategies’ business units to drive collaboration and opportunities that benefit clients, while helping to meet the firm’s growth goals.

He is the founder and chief executive officer of Dubraski & Associates Insurance Services. He grew his company into one of the country’s leading health care-focused specialty insurance brokerages before it was acquired by Risk Strategies in 2015.

“Bob has a demonstrated track record of success in organizing growth efforts at a national level, and we’re confident that he will excel in this new position,” said John Mina, chief executive officer, Risk Strategies.
