Zurich North America Announces Leadership Changes in U.S. Market

Zurich North America announced new appointments within its U.S. middle market south region.

Kim Jordan was named regional vice president for the south region, while Jim Heintz was appointed underwriting manager for the south central area.

In her new role, Jordan will oversee Zurich’s middle market book of business while ensuring its overall success. She joined Zurich in 2017 as a middle market underwriting manager in the south region and brings over 30 years of industry experience to her new appointment.

As underwriting manager, Heintz will manage underwriters and maintain relationships with key distributors. He joined Zurich in 2010 and most recently served as senior middle market underwriter and team lead.

“Both Kim and Jim were named to these positions on an interim basis in January, and I could not be more excited to make these appointments permanent,” said John Diaz, chief operating officer, U.S. middle market, Zurich North America.

CorVel Corporation Names Vice President of Network Solutions

CorVel Corporation hired Lori Landon as vice president of network solutions.

In her new role, Landon will be responsible for the oversight of bill review, PPO and pharmacy products.

Her role will also consist of studying various market analyses to “develop new service capabilities, platform enhancements and business solutions.”

Landon brings over 20 years of industry experience, specifically in the workers’ compensation sector, to her role with CorVel.

Additionally, she has worked in several senior leadership positions while creating and implementing strategies to “drive better incomes and reduce medical costs.”

“Lori is natural fit for CorVel because of her ability to identify enterprise opportunities, build technical and operational capabilities, and develop superior solutions for our customers,” said Michael Combs, president and CEO of CorVel.

“Her extensive experience and dedication to improving workers’ compensation results align with CorVel’s core values and goals, we are very pleased to have her join our team.”

Ryan Specialty Group recently announced an expansion of its executive leadership team for RSG underwriting managers.

These leadership changes come as Ryan Specialty Group accelerates its current strategic plan, which focuses on maintaining long-term positions of executive leaders.

Nick Cortezi has been named as chairman of RSG underwriting managers.

Tom Clark has been appointed as CEO of underwriting managers.

Miles Wuller has been hired as the president of the underwriting managers.

And Matt Nichols has been appointed as the senior advisor and consultant to RSG’s broker leadership.

EPIC Insurance Brokers and Consultants Hire Managing Principal

EPIC Insurance Brokers and Consultants named Jeremy Lawson as managing principal of the firm’s contingency risk practice group.

In this role, Lawson will be responsible for the oversight of operations and strategic direction of the contingency risk practice group.

Additionally, he will work with both EPIC’s entertainment & sports practice and its select practice.

Lawson brings over 20 years of experience to EPIC.

Prior to joining EPIC, he spent 16 years with Live Nation where he most recently served as COO of the North American touring division and senior vice president of touring risk management.

“We are very excited to have someone of Jez’s caliber join our team,” said Scott Davis, president, national specialties.

“His expertise will help us expand a strong contingency practice in partnership with the specialty teams within EPIC.” &
