Kevin Kerridge Named CEO of Hiscox USA 

Kevin Kerridge has been appointed the new CEO of Hiscox USA.

Kerridge first joined Hiscox in 1996 and has since been involved in a number of different initiatives, including creating Hiscox’s first UK-based direct online business.

He relocated to New York in 2009 to “oversee the launch and development of Hiscox’s U.S. digital small business operation,” a press release announcing the appointment said.

“Kevin is an inspirational leader with an impressive track record of building successful businesses for Hiscox. His limitless drive and inspirational leadership will be a vital asset as we strive to make good on our ambition to become the number one small business insurer in the U.S.,” said Ben Walter, Hiscox global retail CEO.

Gavin Reed, executive vice president, Resilience

Resilience Announces New Executive Vice President

Resilience recently announced the addition of Gavin Reed as executive vice president.

Reed brings nearly 20 years of underwriting experience to his new role with Resilience.

Prior to his appointment, he served as assistant vice president of specialty underwriting for cyber, E&O and media with CNA Insurance.

“Gavin will be a key leader for Resilience. We are very excited about the experience he brings and his ability to build relationships in a market we believe is being underserved today,” said CJ Pruzinsky, chief underwriting officer of Resilience Cyber Insurance Solutions.

Ushur Brings on Ron Gupta In Executive Role

Ushur named Ron Gupta senior vice president of sales.

Gupta brings 15 years of relevant sales experience to his new role with Ushur.

Prior to his appointment, he worked at Conga, where he was instrumental in the launch of two global markets while still leading one of Conga’s revenue engines.

“Ushur is on a trajectory of unprecedented growth due to the market demand for digital, self-service technology that we deliver through our AI-powered platform,” said Simha Sadasiva, CEO, Ushur.

EPIC Insurance Brokers and Consultants Announces Two New Hires

Heather Wilkinson, risk management strategy head, EPIC

Casey Scollin, managing principal, EPIC

EPIC Insurance Brokers and Consultants announced two appointments.

Casey Scollin has been named managing principal and Heather Wilkinson was hired to lead EPIC’s risk management strategy in the West.

In his new role, Scollin will be responsible for advising emerging companies and providing them with risk management and insurance solutions.

Additionally, he will collaborate with EPIC’s select team to “leverage their expertise in working with successful individuals,” a press release announcing the appointment said.

Prior to joining EPIC, Scollin worked for HUB International after its acquisition of Sweet and Baker Insurance Brokers. He worked with risk management and insurance program development.

“We are excited to have Casey join our Northern California team and look forward to his collaboration across the entire organization,” said Kevin Harnetiaux, executive managing principal, NorCal territory leader.

In her new role, Wilkinson will manage business development as well as cyber security programs in their entirety.

Prior to her appointment, Wilkinson worked at Willis Towers Watson where she managed risks for both the FINEX cyber and E&O team.

“We are thrilled to continue the growth of our cyber security specialty in the West Region,” said EPIC West region president, KJ Wagner.

“Heather’s extensive background brings a wealth of knowledge and rich industry experience to the team.”

Paragon Insurance Hires Christian Phillips as President of Contingency Practice

Paragon Insurance Holdings LLC named Christian Phillips president of Paragon Contingency Practices.

In this role, Phillips will provide both capacity and coverage solutions to the contingency insurance market.

With major events being postponed or cancelled in the last year, these types of solutions will assist venues that incurred loss.

Phillips joins Paragon from Beazley and brings more than 30 years of experience to Paragon.

“As we continue through the balance of 2021, we expect to see the contingency market rebound,” said Paragon CEO and co-founder, Ron Ganiats.

“We are excited to welcome Christian to the Paragon team to help our clients navigate these improving market conditions.”

Aon Announces Addition to Reinsurance Solutions Leadership Team

Aon named Ben Love to the UK Leadership Team of Aon’s Reinsurance Solutions.

In this role, Love will be responsible for client growth strategy.

Prior to his appointment, he served as the director of underwriting for Tamesis DUAL. He brings over two decades of industry experience to Aon.

“With more than 20 years of experience in the reinsurance industry across underwriting, broking and third-party capacity management, Ben is well positioned to understand our clients’ needs in a rapidly evolving marketplace,” said Nick Frankland, CEO of Reinsurance Solutions in the UK.
