Alive Risk Names New Executive

Alive Risk recently announced the appointment of Richard Rutkin as relationship & marketing executive. Alive Risk, which underwrites amusement, sports, and entertainment exposures, is a managing general underwriter of Ryan Specialty.

In his new role, Rutkin will be responsible for ensuring the “execution of product marketing strategies,” and will “maintain relationships with carriers, retailers and wholesalers,” according to a press release announcing his hiring.

Rutkin joins the Alive Risk team with more than 30 years of relevant experience, particularly in the property, casualty, and specialty contingency insurance fields. He owned and operated his own wholesale brokerage firm for 25 years, focusing on serving the entertainment and sports industries.

Patrick Gavin, managing director of Alive Risk said, “Richard has extensive knowledge of the domestic and global, excess, and surplus lines segment of the sports and entertainment insurance industry. His innovation skills and client-centric experience will position Alive Risk for excellent performance. I have no doubt he will further propel Alive Risk’s pacesetting position in the marketplace.”

HOMELINK Appoints Kim Radcliffe in New Role

HOMELINK named Kim Radcliffe, MHA, PT, as its newest member of its senior leadership team, being appointed senior vice president of clinical and product strategy.

Radcliffe’s work in the workers’ compensation industry spans 16 years, which includes a background in physical therapy. Additionally, Radcliffe’s work includes serving in various leadership roles, which include clinical product development, network development, and operations.

“Kim is a perfect fit for our company’s culture,” said Matt Waller, president of HOMELINK. “Her strong background in clinical operations, drive for constant learning and improvement, and tremendous passion for patient-focused care will be a wonderful addition to the HOMELINK team.”

QBE North America Promotes Michael Foley

QBE North America recently announced the promotion of Michael Foley to president of commercial insurance. He most recently served within QBE’s commercial casualty business as its chief underwriting officer.

In his new role, Foley, an industry veteran, will also become a member of QBE North America’s executive management board. Additionally, Foley will be responsible for “planning, directing and executing the vision for lines of business,” per a press release.

Foley will also manage department strategy development as well as the cultivations of strong trading partner and customer relationships.

“We’re excited to have Mike step up to this new role,” said Todd Jones, CEO of QBE North America. “With decades of experience in the commercial insurance market, he has proven his ability as a leader in building high performance teams, delivering solutions for customers, and generating a top-quality book of business.”

Mosaic Announces Addition to Board of Directors

Mosaic Insurance recently announced that it has named Jennifer Zhu to its board of directors.

Zhu is currently working at Golden Gate Capital as a principal. Additionally, she serves as a member of Golden Gate Capital’s financial services team, which works to cover investments in various specialized markets. These include insurance, asset and wealth management, and FinTech.

“I am thrilled to formally welcome Jenn to the Board, particularly as we mark International Women’s’ Day today,” said Caroline Foulger, Mosaic’s board chair on the day of the announcement.

“Jenn has been a regular Board attendee since Mosaic’s inception, and her formal appointment is a reflection of her valuable contributions over the last two years.”

“Jenn has worked closely with us in her capacity at Golden Gate Capital since our launch, so it’s fitting she now joins the Board in a more formal capacity, and she brings valuable knowledge and skills to the role,” said Mosaic co-CEO Mitch Blaser.

Tracy Ryan Named Chief Regions and Markets Officer, AGCS

Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty (AGCS) appointed Tracy Ryan as chief regions and markets officer for North America.

Ryan previously served as a board member and president of global risk solutions, North America for Liberty Mutual Insurance Group. She brings nearly 30 years of both industry and leadership experience to her new role with AGCS.

Ryan succeeds William (Bill) Scaldaferri who spent the last 23 years working with Allianz.

“I am very happy to welcome Tracy as Bill’s successor,” said Joachim Mueller, CEO of AGCS.

“She brings a unique combination of leadership skills and deep expertise in our sector, from technical underwriting through to client and broker delivery in both North America and globally. I am sure she will build on the great foundations that Bill and his team have created in this region which is such a major part of AGCS’s global business.” &
