P&C Insurance Systems Names New CEO

P&C Insurance Systems, Inc. (PCIS) announced the appointment of Georgette Loizou as its new CEO. In this role, Loizou will “lead PCIS’ anticipated growth phase,” according to a press release.

Prior to assuming the role of CEO, Loizou served as executive vice president of PCIS, in which she was responsible for overseeing and managing the company’s strategic planning, client relationships and project management.

She brings more than 20 years of relevant industry experience to her new post, with past roles including vice president of PCIS and president of P&C claims.

EPIC Insurance Brokers & Consultants Announces Hire of Shelley Yim

EPIC Insurance Brokers & Consultants hired Shelley Yim to join the EPIC Inclusion Council to “partner with EPIC’s leadership to focus on continuing to grow the firm’s footprint, while also “supporting EPIC’s Diversity & Inclusion strategy,” per a press release.

Yim brings over 35 years of global risk and insurance experience to her new role with EPIC. Prior to joining EPIC, she led Aon’s West Region Middle Market brokerage teams. Most recently, Yim was honored as a 2021 Business Insurance Women to Watch award recipient.

“We’re fortunate to add Shelley to our team of experts,” said Marc Kunney, EPIC’s president of risk management and national specialties.

“Our clients will benefit instantly from her perspective and expertise, particularly in today’s challenging and dynamic marketplace.”

Beazley Hires Head of International Cyber Services

Beazley named Christian Taube as the company’s new head of cyber services – international.

In his new role, Taube’s responsibilities will include both the creation and improvement of Beazley’s cyber risk management capabilities.

Prior to his appointment with Beazley, Taube served as the chief information security officer for Contentserv. Prior to that, he worked building DataGuard’s information security practice.

Raf Sanchez, global head of cyber services for Beazley, provided comment on Taube’s hire: “When you consider the ever-changing risk landscape, and specifically the sharp increase of ransomware in recent years, it is fair to say that maintaining good cyber hygiene should be a key priority for all businesses today.”

He continued, “Providing clients around the globe with the tools they need to stay ahead of the curve from a cyber perspective remains a key goal for Beazley. I am delighted to welcome Christian into the fray to further support our rapid international growth in this area.”

Peter Friend and Wendy Sanderson to Join Breckenridge Insurance 

Breckenridge Insurance announced the hiring of Peter Friend as a senior underwriter on its specialty program property team and Wendy Sanderson as a broker/assistant vice president.

In his role, Friend will primarily “focus on facilitating competitive coverage solutions for diverse property risks including vacant, residential real estate investor portfolios, and commercial properties,” according to a press release.

Prior to joining Breckenridge Insurance, Friend worked as underwriter for property in the Midwest territory.

“Peter has a comprehensive understanding of property underwriting coupled with his drive to bring competitive solutions to the market to benefit his clients. At Breckenridge, he will have the opportunity to do both as a key part of our property group,” said Michael Marks, senior vice president of the specialty property team.

Sanderson, who has a focus on workers’ compensation and casualty risks, brings more than 25 years of industry experience to her new role with Breckenridge Insurance. Prior to her appointment, she worked as a property and casualty broker.

“Wendy has a strong following with both carriers and clients. This coupled with her drive for success is a clear asset to our organization,” said Trevor Pierce, president of the brokerage and binding team. &
