QBE announces four appointments to leadership team, HOMELINK adds two sales executives and PartnerRe appoints new Board of Directors member in this edition of People on the Move.

QBE Announces Four Additions to Leadership Team

QBE recently announced the hiring of four executives.

Thomas Kocaj was appointed as senior vice president, head of management liability. In this role, Kocaj will manage the oversight on QBE’s development and implementation of market strategy. He brings over 30 years of industry experience to QBE and most recently served at Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance, where he lead the management liability underwriting team.

QBE hired Danielle Librizzi as senior vice president, head of professional liability. She will head the team of professional liability and cyber underwriters nationwide. She joins QBE from Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance, where she held a similar position.

Adam Fleischner was named senior vice president, financial institutions. In his new role, Fleischner will manage a team of financial institutions underwriters to successfully deliver QBE’s go-to-market plan. Fleischner also joined QBE from Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance, where he managed the financial institutions business in both New York City and San Francisco.

Michael McGuinness was hired as QBE’s senior vice president, public company management liability. In this role, McGuinness will be responsible for the management of the public company underwriting team. He previously served as Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance’s vice president of financial lines for both public and private/nonprofit commercial institutions.

Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty Announces Promotion of Katie Fioretti

Katie Fioretti, regional head of financial lines NA, AGCS

Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty (AGCS) promoted Katie Fioretti to regional head of portfolio steering for financial lines in North America.

In this role, Fioretti will lead a team working on portfolio management and technical excellence with a particular focus on strategy and risk management across commercial, financial institutions, professional indemnity and cyber lines.

Fioretti brings nearly 20 years of management liability experience to her new role with ACGS. She first joined the firm in 2015, most recently serving as the regional head of commercial management liability.

HOMELINK Brings on Two Additions to Sales Team

HOMELINK recently announced the appointments of Danny Real and Jason Collins to the company’s sales team.

Danny Real, vice president of sales and account management, HOMELINK

Collins was hired as vice president of commercial sales. He brings 22 years of industry experience, specifically in the workers’ compensation and cost containment sectors, to his role with HOMELINK. He also brings sales leadership and account management to the company.

Real, was named vice president of sales and account management. He brings over 30 years of workers’ compensation and managed care experience to HOMELINK.

Ushur Announces Hiring of Kashif Mahbub in Executive Position

Kashif Mahbub, senior vice president of marketing, Ushur

Ushur, a company that specializes in helping businesses intelligently automate and digitally transform  customer-facing workflows, hired Kashif Mahbub as senior vice president of marketing.

In this role, Mahbub will be responsible for the oversight of the company’s marketing strategies and function, which includes brand, communications, community and digital marketing. Additionally, he will manage Ushur’s goal of implementing its AI platform and solutions.

Mahbub brings over 20 years of experience, specifically in global technology and brand marketing, to his role with Ushur. He most recently served as the vice president of product marketing at Automation Anywhere, where he helped create and develop several marketing initiatives.

Peter Child to Lead Strategic Risk Solutions Operations in Guernsey

Peter Child, managing director, SRS

Strategic Risk Solutions (SRS) recently announced the launch of operations in Guernsey with Peter Child named as managing director.

In this role, Child will be responsible for overseeing the development of SRS business and operations in Guernsey.

Child has worked in the industry for several years and has experience in data analytics, sales and underwriting. He most recently worked with Artex, which he joined in 2007, where he managed the company’s office in Guernsey, Malta, Gibraltar and London. Additionally, he managed oversight of insurance management services.

“We are pleased to be able to establish an office in Guernsey — a great place to do business, with its solid regulatory framework, strong infrastructure, and a vibrant and growing insurance market,” said SRS CEO Brady Young.

PartnerRe Announces New Board of Directors Appointment

Enrico Vellano, Board of Directors, PartnerRe

Enrico Vellano was appointed to PartnerRe’s Board of Directors as a representative of Exor.

Vellano brings over 20 years of insurance industry experience to his new role with PartnerRe. He began his career with IFIL and was named their chief financial officer in 2006. He most recently served as the chief financial officer for Exor.

John Elkann, chairman and chief executive officer of Exor, commented on Vellano’s new appointment, “Enrico Vellano has been closely involved in all aspects of our investment in PartnerRe since the very beginning and I’m delighted that he is succeeding me on the board in a further signal of our long-term commitment to the Company and its independent strategy.” &
