Kelly Lafnitzegger Joins AIG as Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources & Diversity Officer

Kelly Lafnitzegger is set to join American International Group, Inc. (AIG) as executive vice president and chief human resources & diversity officer (CHRO), effective June 1, 2024. She will report directly to AIG chairman & chief executive officer, Peter Zaffino.
“Kelly’s 30 years of experience at General Electric, along with her broad leadership track record of developing organizational and talent strategies that align with business objectives will be a valuable addition to AIG,” Zaffino said. “Retaining and attracting world-class talent with compelling career opportunities and meaningful professional development and advancement is a top priority.”
Lafnitzegger brings a wealth of experience from her time at GE Vernova, where she led the separation management office to support the company’s spin-off from GE since 2022. Her new role at AIG will involve leading the global human resources organization, overseeing talent acquisition and management, learning and development, compensation and benefits, diversity, equity, and inclusion, and global corporate citizenship.
“I look forward to joining Peter’s impressive executive leadership team and to working alongside AIG’s talented global HR team and across the company to deliver on our purpose and values on behalf of our colleagues, clients, partners, and many stakeholders,” Lafnitzegger said.
She succeeds Rose Marie Glazer, who served as AIG’s CHRO since January 1, 2022, and has transitioned to AIG’s General Counsel. &
